When footballer Ryan Giggs admitted he enjoyed yoga sessions more than a night out with the lads, this ancient form of exercise suddenly became bang up to date.
At the ripe old age of 36, Giggsy realised he needed more than a jog round the pitch and a bit of a ball practice to keep him in the game. After just one yoga session he found there was a lot more to the discipline than he ever imagined, he revealed recently.
Giggs is not the only celebrity to have discovered the delights of yoga. He follows in the footsteps of such illustrious celebrity keep-fit fanatics as Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
